On May 10th, the National Health Commission (NHC) released an important announcement regarding the catalogues and applicable food safety standards for the “Three New Foods”. This announcement provides detailed information about the new food ingredient catalogue and the corresponding food safety standards. Notably, a transition period of 18 months has been established for the implementation of the new food ingredient catalogue and the applicable food safety standards.
