The CNHFA Organized Two Acceptance Meetings of Projects

On November 28, 2023, the CNHFA organized the meeting for the review and acceptance of the study project--"Exploring the Simplification of the Requirements for the Registration Information of the First imported Health food Products". The meeting invited the representatives of the commissioning party: Wan Chao (Director of Dept. of Health Food Registration) and Wang Xiaojing (Researcher), Dept. of Special Food Safety Supervision & Management, State Administration for Market Regulation; Liu Hongyu (Director of Dept. of Health Food Function Review) and Sa Yi (Deputy Director of Dept. of Health Food Safety Review) from Center for Food evaluation, State Administration for Market Regulation. The following experts for the review and acceptance of the project were invited: Professor Li Keji of the School of Public and Health of Peking University, Professor Zhang Bo of Beijing Union University, Researcher Wang Jingzhong of the Institute of Nutrition and Health of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Director Feng Qian of the import and Export Food Safety Department of Beijing Customs, Deputy Director Li Guiying of the Health Department of China Chamber of Commerce for import and Export of Pharmaceutical and Health Products. Executive Vice President Li Liangqiu, Secretary General Zhang Zhongpeng of CNHFA,  and members from the project’s working group also attended the meeting.


Firstly, Mr. Lu Youfeng, the representative of the CNHFA’s project working group, introduced the content and completion of the work, and focused on the supply of five raw materials such as Coenzyme Q10, the current status of the survival of health food, and simplified the registration proposal and process.


The experts had a full exchange with the project team on the content of the work, put forward suggestions and recommendations and the direction of the next step, and unanimously passed the acceptance of the project.


In the next step, the CNHFA will continue to organize and carry out research on the supply of raw materials, to refine the proposal to simplify the registration, in order to provide a solid industry basis for regulatory policy.

On December 6, 2023, the CNHFA organized the acceptance meeting of the project "Promotion and Application of Exclusive Logo for Food for Special Medical Purposes", which invited representatives of the commissioning party, Li Xiaoyu and Xin Mintong, Director and Deputy Director of Infant Formula Registration Department, Dept. of Special Food Safety Supervision & Management, State Administration for Market Regulation; Yang Xiaoguang, Researcher of Institute of Nutrition and Health, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention; Shi Hanping, Professor of Beijing Shijitan Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University; Fan Dongsheng, Director of Neurology Department, Peking University Third Hospital, Yu Yue, Media Resource Director of People.cn. President Bian Zhenjia, Executive Vice President Li Liangqiu, Secretary General Zhang Zhongpeng of the CNHFA, and members of the project’s working group attended the meeting.


The meeting started with the introduction of the work content and completion by Lu Youfeng, the representative of the project working group, focusing on the promotion of the labeling of food for special medical purposes, and the implementation of the “Labeling Guidelines”.


The acceptance experts fully exchanged views with the project team on the content of the work, made comments, suggested the direction of the next step, and unanimously passed the acceptance of the project.


In the next step, the CNHFA will continue to carry out the promotion of special food labeling, science and publicity work through various ways.
